The word "Reiki" means "Universal Life Force Energy," which refers to the energy that naturally flows through all living things. Reiki has its origins in Japan, and is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also has many physical and energetic healing properties. During a Reiki session, Reiki energy is channeled and guided to the individual both intentionally and intuitively, therefore allowing the Reiki energy to flow to exactly where it needs to be to perform its healing.

A Reiki session can help ease tension and stress and can help support the body to facilitate an environment for healing on all levels – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. A session is pleasant and relaxing and is utilized for one’s personal growth and wellness.

A Reiki session is beneficial for healing on all levels- physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Reiki can help to alleviate stress and tension and provide an overall sense of relaxation and well-being. Reiki is great for alleviating symptoms that occur due to emotional stress or trauma, which emerge in the form of physical ailments and energetic blockages. Reiki is not a cure for disease or illness, but is a gentle and safe way assist the body in creating an environment to facilitate healing. Therefore, Reiki may be a great tool to use as a complement to other traditional or holistic medicine. Reiki also promotes growth by bringing one into a state of clarity, thus allowing space for introspection and self-reflection.

• Reflect and set an intention of what you'd like to achieve during your session and anything you may want to share before your session begins.
• Try to avoid caffeinated and alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours before your session. These drinks disrupt the way the nervous system functions, therefore creating distortions in the natural balance of one’s system and short-circuiting one’s ability to receive higher frequency Reiki energy.
• Eat and hydrate before your Reiki session. This will allow you to be as comfortable as possible and not distracted by hunger or thirst while receiving your treatment. Try to avoid eating too heavy of a meal, however, as you don’t want all of your body’s energy to be directed toward digesting while you’re receiving your treatment.
• Wear loose and comfortable clothing. Again, you want to be as comfortable as possible during your Reiki treatment. Uncomfortable clothing can be extremely distracting and too tight of clothing may disrupt the flow of Reiki energy.
• Bring socks. You will be asked to remove your shoes, so you may want to wear some socks to keep your feet warm during your treatment.

IF YOU'RE DOING A DISTANCE HEALING SESSION:

• Please be sure to lay or sit in a comfortable and quiet space for the duration of your appointment. You'll want to remain calm and relaxed with minimal distractions. That way you'll be able to focus on the experience.

During your Reiki session, you will remain fully clothed and be reclined comfortably on a massage table. If you have mobility or pain issues, you may also receive your treatment sitting comfortably in a chair, but please communicate these problems beforehand.

The session may be done with a light gentle pressure, static touch, or with hands hovered a few inches/centimeters above your body at the hand positions with no actual physical contact. Some sessions consist of one or the other, while some sessions consist of both. If you have a preference in this area, please be sure to communicate this.

Each experience is wildly different from person to person so it is best to leave behind any expectations of how your session will go in order to allow yourself to focus on your own unique experience.

I have been attuned to all Usui Reiki levels I,II, and III (Master Level), and successfully completed all requirements (50+ hours of training) to achieve a certification as a Usui Reiki Master/Teacher. Prior to my training, I have been intuitively working with energy for many years.

My Reiki lineage is: Mikao Usui, Chujiro Hayashi, Hawayo Takata, Phyllis Furomoto, Claudia Hoffman, Mary Shaw, Christine Henderson, Bruce Way, Ariane McMinn, Mona Khalaf, Dharmadevi, Melissa Crowhurst, and me!

I was also trained for Reiki Level II by Pontea Dianati.

Only distance Reiki healing sessions are currently being offered at this time. Once the conditions are safer regarding COVID-19, the location information will be updated.

Payment is accepted in the form of cash and online payments such as Venmo, Cash App, and Zelle. Credit cards and checks are NOT accepted.

Insurance is also NOT accepted as insurance companies do not cover Reiki energy healing. Hopefully that will change in the future!
